2007.

I can’t believe it’s here already! I still write 2006 by mistake in my worksheets.

2006 came and gone so quickly. Year 2 followed by Year 3. Final Year Project and Industrial Attachment were stressful. But with God’s grace and by constantly invoking the saints, I manage to scrape through. The B+ for FYP made my GPA look a little better. Too bad IAP wasn’t counted. Sigh.

Year 3 Semester 2 did not start very well as I thought. I was still not finishing assignments on time, still resorting to last minute study. Fortunately I had B+ and Bs for the Common Test. I hope I can get some As for the finals and for my projects; I could really use that.

2006 was my last year in nyp band. I resigned halfway through my attachment. Since my fellow Curia officers had advised me to stand down for a while, I decided to bring things to full circle by reducing my CCA commitments. Too late have I learnt, that I needed my personal time and space. Partially, I also left because I didn’t have the motivation to continue practising music. I had very little progress, and I couldn’t spare any more time to work harder. I should have realised that in year one.

At least I managed to make the grade for CCA and academic achievements. I recieved my NYAA Gold award, and I recieved a distinction prize for the Singapore Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Pre-U essay contest on 26 October. Here you can see me shaking the hands of weird big shots.

Outside of school, my life continues to revolve mainly around Legion. Legion is still surviving. Though St Anne’s Church praesidum has shut down, the rest of the praesidia have many new recruits. I pray that I will be a good leader and perfect example for them.

Looking at myself, I think can do better. I’ve been trying to recite the Office more often, but it’s still quite difficult. I shall cultivate more discipline this year.

Then there is the question of being young, single, and available. Well I did set my eyes on a few girls last year but nothing concrete came out of it. Oh well better luck this year. Everything is in God’s time anyway.

This will be another interesting year…
