In Funda Bellum

In about one and a half hours time, I will be taking the first of my five final papers of my three years in NYP. It being the finals, there is this certain anxiety in me.

But it’s a bit late isn’t it? I should have worried in Year One instead.

And my overall grades will still look crappy. Hell, whatever goes!

Ala peanut butter Salmonella!!

Salmonella outbreak linked to 2 peanut butter brands

For those of you who enjoy peanut butter, better be careful!

According to the CDC,

The affected jars of Peter Pan and Great Value peanut butter have a product code located on the lid of the jar that begins with the number “2111.”

Incidentally Grandpa bought a can of peanut butter with 2111 on it. We dumped it immediately.

Ala peanut butter Salmonella! Looks like the HACCP guys were slacking off!

Don’t mess with Salmonella, it is a very nasty pathogen!

Let the eater beware!!

Approaching the crossroads

I have just moved house. For the first time in 15 years I’m living in a HDB flat. My brother jokingly remarks, ‘Oh yay, now we’re Singaporeans.’ Well the house is still quite messy, because we haven’t finished unpacking yet.

It is smaller compared to my last house, but it is bigger than some of the flats elsewhere. I guess I’ve been living too good a life, residing in private housing for most of my natural life.

But no worries, I’ll get used to this soon.

Hmm I wonder what the guy at the opposite block is doing. Maybe I should get a pair of binoculars and spy at him.

The good thing about my area is that it has many bus services. More accessible than my last place.

Sigh, my days in NYP are coming to an end. Tomorrow is the last week of school. The week after is study break.

The week after that is finals.

I don’t know, even if I get all As for this semester, my diploma still looks bad. But never mind that, I’ll just go for it anyway. I shall do my best, God will do the rest.

But really, applying to the local uni is a real….never mind. When asked to choose five courses, I realise that it’s quite difficult. Argh, if I haven’t slacked off in year one I wouldn’t be complaining and worrying like hell.

Kids, take my advice. Don’t slack off if you go to poly. Or you’ll be like me. =(

Falling through the cracks of the system, I have come to realise the GRAVITY of this situation. Hur hur hur hur hur….

In my head

I have a thousand and one things running through my head

[Ian Finian Heng] Into great silence says:
am i worthy of a place in a local uni

[Ian Finian Heng] Into great silence says:
what is my reference’s telephone number

[Ian Finian Heng] Into great silence says:
am i called to be a teacher

[Ian Finian Heng] Into great silence says:
one day i shall buy my mother a baking oven

Ash says:

Ash says:
ah the random beauty of a guy’s mind

Ash says:
but they are all interesting goals

[Ian Finian Heng] Into great silence says:
and i havent studied for my exams yet

[Ian Finian Heng] Into great silence says:
thats one more

Oh God help me!
