There has been an epidemic of flu or colds in the community. And I have become one of its victims. On Tuesday I woke up with a bad headache and aches all over. I thought it was just a hangover from that self-mixed Bloody Mary the night before. But it didn’t go away until lunchtime, plus I had a fever. I decided to leave work halfway and go to see the doctor.

The queue at Hougang Polyclinic was awfully long as well. I arrived there at 1320 and left at 1600. Really, I should have gone to see my GP instead. For the same price I could have waited a lot less.

I was more than happy to go home after so many hours in that miasma heavy place. Argh, I hate the feeling of polyclinics and hospitals. Maybe I should rethink entering a medical laboratory career.

Oh, NHG Diagnostics operates a lab there too. I looked at some of the technicians, and they look rather young. Attachment students perhaps? For some reason they are all girls.

I wonder if they are hiring…. Heheh..

Ok, time to take my meds.
